Summary: New Mexico State University’s Global Campus seeks a CRM Developer who will administer, maintain, and optimize the Slate system to support efficient admissions operations. This role manages data processes, workflows, and communication tools while troubleshooting technical issues and implementing best practices. Through collaboration and continuous learning, the CRM Developer ensures a seamless applicant experience.
Classification Summary:
Under supervision, performs work that is varied and may be somewhat difficult, but usually involves limited responsibility. Responsible for overall systems infrastructure including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical services and support.
Classification Standard Duties:
Designs, implements/installs, maintains, and administers infrastructures including hardware, software, and various configurations. Monitors overall performance to proactively identify potential issues and tune appropriately. Performs root cause analysis on failed components and implements corrective measures. Works with others to establish and improve processes and procedures. Generally focuses on projects for one of the following disciplines: Unix, Windows, AS400, storage, reporting, testing, middleware, or other software.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
The CRM Developer plays a key role in supporting and enhancing the technology infrastructure for admissions by administering, maintaining, and optimizing the Slate system. Working under general supervision, this position is responsible for managing core system functions including data imports/exports, workflows, application processes, and communication tools. Through close collaboration with admissions teams and proactive troubleshooting, the CRM Developer ensures the continuity and efficiency of admissions operations. Additionally, the role involves researching and implementing Slate best practices and participating in professional development to align with the institution’s goals and support a seamless applicant experience.
Duties and responsibilities include:
• Administer and oversee daily operations of the Slate system, including the configuration and management of data import/export processes, to ensure accurate and efficient data handling.
• Manage and maintain Slate-hosted admission applications, including setting up, updating, and troubleshooting application workflows and components to support admissions operations.
• Develop and maintain workflows, queries, and rules within Slate, optimizing these processes to align with institutional needs and ensure seamless admissions processing.
• Design and execute targeted email campaigns and other communication initiatives through Slate, enhancing engagement with prospective students and other stakeholders.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues across the Slate platform to maintain uninterrupted admissions operations and data integrity.
• Collaborate closely with admissions team members to assess, implement, and document improvements to both regular and annual admissions processes, addressing technology-related requirements.
• Stay informed of new features and best practices within Slate by researching and experimenting with platform updates that could improve admissions workflows and overall efficiency.
• Participate in professional development opportunities, including relevant conferences, webinars, and training, to maintain proficiency in Slate and related admissions technologies.
• Perform additional related duties as required to support department goals and objectives.
