The Auto Claims Examiner position will be responsible primarily for the adjustment of third-party bodily injury and significant property damage claims arising from general liability and auto liability coverages
Responsibilities:
- Coverage assessment and verification
- Investigate, evaluate, and bring to a disposition all nonsuit and litigation claims
- Assure the proper reserving of all losses
- Participate in recognized safety/marketing programs
- Assign and manage the activities of independent adjusters and other vendors
- Work effectively with clients, brokers, attorneys and other departments
- Identify subrogation potential
- Manage the subrogation process
- Preparing comprehensive claim correspondence, including denials and RORs
- Attend training classes and/or secure professional designations
- Monitor trials
- Handle bodily injury litigation matters through conclusion.
- Prepare substantive Claim Reports.
- Make recommendations as to reserves and disposition of claims and report to Claim Committee.
- Report to reinsurers.

- Possesses the ability to analyze problems, evaluate alternatives, and select the best course of action in a timely manner

- Possess professional customer service skills
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or life experience
- At least 1+ years of experience in handling commercial automobile claims
- Experience with catastrophic claim handling
- New York State General Adjuster’s license or another State equivalent license
- Professional telephone demeanor
- Proficient use of a PC
- Valid driver’s license
- Occasional travel

- Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 depending on experience

55,000 - 65,000 AnnualThe pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly
rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
