The Role
As an Associate Product Manager at GoPro, you will play a pivotal role in assisting the product management team in developing and executing product strategies to meet the needs of our diverse customer base and our growing product lines. You will be immersed in the entire product lifecycle: from early ideation to product launch and beyond. This role requires a blend of analytical thinking and creativity - as well as a passion for technology and adventure.
What You Will Do
- Market Research: You will work with the Consumer Insights team to conduct market research to identify emerging trends, evaluate the competitive landscape and determine how to best address our customers’ needs.
- Product Development: You will collaborate with various cross-functional teams including engineering, design and marketing to assess potential product concepts in an effort to develop and launch truly innovative products and features. You will assist in creating user stories, product specifications and feature trackers.
- Requirements Definition: You will create detailed product requirements that define product specifications and functionality. You will be expected to clearly communicate these product requirements to engineering teams and ensure alignment with key stakeholders throughout the organization.
- Project Management: You will assist in project management activities, such as: timeline tracking, resource allocation and the coordination of various tasks to ensure the timely delivery of products.
- User Testing and Feedback: You will help coordinate user testing sessions and gather feedback to iterate on product designs and features. You will utilize feedback to make data-driven decisions and improve product usability and customer satisfaction.
- Product Launch: You will coordinate product launches and go-to-market strategies in collaboration with the marketing and sales teams. You will help develop compelling product messaging, positioning and collateral to drive product awareness and adoption.
- Sales Support: You will collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop sales collateral, presentations and product training materials. You will assist in product launch activities and promotional campaigns.
Skills We’re Excited About
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 1-2 years of experience in product management, product marketing or related roles.
