The Advanced Customer Technical Support Specialist for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for providing advanced front-line customer technical support of hardware, software, and consumable issues and inquires for the entire Microbiology product line.
This position is part of the Customer Technical Support Organization located in Sacramento, CA and will be fully remote. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the Microbiology Team and report to the Supervisor responsible for remotely resolving customer concerns. If you thrive in a fast paced, supporting role and want to work to build a world-class technical support organization organization—read on.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills by troubleshooting complex hardware, software, consumable, and Laboratory Information System (LIS) issues without the need of field service intervention.
- Identify, collect, and escalate product issues, complaints, and improvements.
- Adhere to soft skills guidelines, documentation best practices, and follow FDA guidelines for complaint classification.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Associates Degree in Microbiology or similar discipline; with hands-on experience with Microscan.
- Minimum of 6 years previous customer service experience.
- Willing to work rotating weekends and holidays.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, preferably with previous experience in a medical technology call center or clinical laboratory with a primary focus in Microbiology.
- Networking and/or Laboratory Information System (LIS) customization and configuration experience is preferred.

The hourly range for this role is $38.46/hour - $44.71/hour. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
