Description
Basic Description: Senior Financial Analyst role plays a key part in driving strategic financial decisions through detailed analysis, forecasting, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modeling, budgeting, and performance analysis. This is a high-impact role requiring both technical acumen and business insight to support senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and improve complex financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Track and evaluate key performance indicators, focusing on revenue, loan volume, margins, and operational efficiency.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analyses against budget and forecast.
- Partner with departments including loan origination, underwriting, secondary marketing, and servicing to assess financial impact of business decisions.
- Evaluate and monitor warehouse lines, secondary market execution, and loan sale profitability.
- Support pricing strategies, loan pipeline reporting, and capital planning efforts.
- Collaborate in the preparation of board presentations and investor reports.
- Assist in financial due diligence and modeling for strategic initiatives or partnerships.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data across systems and reports.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA a plus.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead analyst role.
- Prior experience in the mortgage lending industry is strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills required; proficiency with financial modeling and data analysis tools is a plus.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and capital markets.
- Ability to distill complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach.
Salary Description
$75,000 - $150,000 per year
