Description

Basic Description: Senior Financial Analyst role plays a key part in driving strategic financial decisions through detailed analysis, forecasting, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modeling, budgeting, and performance analysis. This is a high-impact role requiring both technical acumen and business insight to support senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and improve complex financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Track and evaluate key performance indicators, focusing on revenue, loan volume, margins, and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analyses against budget and forecast.
  • Partner with departments including loan origination, underwriting, secondary marketing, and servicing to assess financial impact of business decisions.
  • Evaluate and monitor warehouse lines, secondary market execution, and loan sale profitability.
  • Support pricing strategies, loan pipeline reporting, and capital planning efforts.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of board presentations and investor reports.
  • Assist in financial due diligence and modeling for strategic initiatives or partnerships.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data across systems and reports.
Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA a plus.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead analyst role.
  • Prior experience in the mortgage lending industry is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills required; proficiency with financial modeling and data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and capital markets.
  • Ability to distill complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach.
Salary Description
$75,000 - $150,000 per year
