ZoomCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Centralized Support Team working Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm.The Registered Nurse - Centralized Support Team is responsible for supporting patients by providing remote nursing care through prescription refills, medication prior authorizations, triaging patient calls, and responding to patient inquiries through our online medical portal. As a key member of our team, you will help ensure patients receive timely and accurate care, enhancing the overall patient experience.

  • Process and review prescription refill requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with medical guidelines.
  • Work with insurance providers to obtain prior authorizations for medications, ensuring a seamless process for patients.
  • Assess and prioritize incoming patient calls, providing appropriate nursing advice and escalating issues to the proper medical professionals when necessary.
  • Respond to patient inquiries through our secure online medical portal, addressing requests for advice, medication refills, appointment scheduling, and other non-urgent concerns.
  • Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other clinical staff to ensure patients' care plans are properly followed and to resolve any issues regarding prescriptions, treatments, or patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in accordance with ZoomCare’s policies and applicable regulations.
  • Provide patient education and support regarding medication use, health management, and available ZoomCare services to promote health and wellness.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant state and federal healthcare regulations, patient privacy laws, and ZoomCare’s policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • This is a remote position but you must be located in Oregon or Washington state.
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • 2+ years of clinical nursing experience in a fast-paced environment (preferably in telehealth or outpatient care).
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon and Washington.
  • Strong knowledge of medication management, including refills and prior authorizations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively triage patient calls and respond to inquiries through digital platforms.
  • Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and online patient portals.
  • Proficient in Adobe, Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Slack or related software and an ability to quickly learn new technology systems.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and priorities in a virtual setting.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
  • Familiarity with insurance processes, including medication prior authorizations.
  • Certification in nursing specialties (e.g., ambulatory care, care coordination) is a plus.

  • Salary Range: $102,000 - $108,000 dependent on experience 
 
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly in order to effectively communicate with others.
  • Exposure to sensitive and confidential information.
  • Patient volume may often require working more than scheduled hours per week or outside of regular business hours to complete essential duties.
