Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in HR with a focus on benefits and leave management.
  • Some broader domain knowledge and/or training in HR processes and functions is preferred. 
  • SHRM-CP a plus but not required
  • Able to learn our HRIS, benefits and talent management systems.
  • An excellent communicator with outstanding people skills.
  • A team player with a result driven approach.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to self-manage.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Great problem-solving skills and basic understanding of HR procedures and policies.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with tact and discretion.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to benefits and leave.
  • Ability to embrace change, learn quickly, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Basic understanding of relevant software, tools, and systems used in the corporate environment. This includes a proficiency in standard software applications, including Windows and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

Essential Job Requirements (not all-inclusive)

Benefits Administration

  • Administer and manage all aspects of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other related benefits.
  • Collaborate with benefits providers to ensure smooth enrollment processes and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Conduct monthly benefits reconciliation, including reconciling carrier invoices.
  • Review and resolve reconciliation discrepancies with invoices, payroll and/or enrollment data.

Leave Management

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of employee leave programs, including FMLA, disability, and other types of leaves.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to leave policies.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on leave processes and documentation requirements.

Policy Development and Compliance

  • Collaborate with HR leadership to develop, update, and communicate benefits and leave policies to ensure alignment with company objectives and legal requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Employee Support

  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits and leave policies.
  • Assist employees in understanding and maximizing their benefits, providing education and resources as needed.

  • Must be flexible for other HR related duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $80,000 annually.
